It is sales and customer support for Instagram sales. It converts issues from Instagram comments into CRM tickets.

I'm thrilled to finally let you all know that we have developed an integration with Instagram. Our app is approved by Facebook/Instagram and currently under review by Freshdesk's marketplace team, so hopefully it will be released within very short.
Our app looks really good (if I may say so myself...) and will give you all really good possibilities to handle all your Instagram posts, comments and replies straight from Freshdesk. It's possible to sort, search and filer comments in some really efficient ways, and of course you can also create tickets out or certain comments that needs extra attention.

Any news from Facebook regarding the direct messages? Unfortunately we don't have any use for creating tickets from replies and comments, but direct messages in Freshdesk would be golden.

Hello Freshdesk team, any news about the Instagram direct messages integration? The proposed app from swedbyte specifically mentions it doesn't support direct messages, which is IMHO the most important channel to have covered for support needs.
Is there a technical limitation from Facebook/Instagram side? Do you have any time frame for possible integration? Thanks.

We are working on a major update of our Instagram app, and are currently in beta. There are some details that needs a bit more polish, but hopefully it's ready to be posted within some week.
Regarding the direct messages (DM's) there is unfortunately still a limitation from Instagram's/Facebook's side, making it impossible to interact with and handle DM's outside IG/FB. I know that there are tools on the market who claims that they handle DM's, but the truth is, that if they do actually handle DM's, they are not following the IG/FB directives and they have simply built their tools on unlawful grounds. Not only is it illegal, but also they run the risk of being shut down at any moment by IG/FB, so I would strongly recommend against using and running any serious business on such tools.
