As of now the scheduled reports are sent only in PDF format. This is useful only when Freshdesk tries to build reporting ability that can be highly customized. Until then could you please add an option to send the schedule reports in CSV or Excel (both would be awesome)
We've recently launched the Scheduled exports feature that allows you to export the ticket properties according to a pre-defined schedule. The data can be obtained in CSV or JSON and can be fed directly into a BI tool for creating custom reports.
