@Graham, We've recently fixed the bug with the search box being disabled when you've the keyboard shortcuts switched on. You can try the search now and let us know if you're having any difficulties in using it.

Hi we have the same problem we frequently can't type anything in the search box - have to restart the browser to get it working again. Several users have this issue in several different browsers.
