Email notifications isn't sent to some agents after changing email supportaddress

After switching from the default firstname.lastname@example.org to email@example.com some agents are not receiving email notifications anymore. I tried to add another account with an email outside of my organization which did get the notifications. But everyone else are not. Customers however are getting notifications.
If I switch back to the default address everyone is getting notifications again. Is there anyone who knows what this is caused of or what can be checked?
