The Google Translate app for Freshdesk helps your agents and customers see the support portal in any language they want. Once the app is installed, a language widget will be available on the support portal using which they can change the language of all pages in the portal.

Quick guide to installing Google Translate app in your helpdesk

  • Login to your support portal as an administrator.
  • Go to Admin > Apps > Custom Apps
  • Click on the New Custom App button and give the app a name and a description.
  • Copy paste the following code in the editor.
<div id="google_translate_element"></div>
<script type="text/javascript">
function googleTranslateElementInit() {
new google.translate.TranslateElement({pageLanguage: 'en', layout: google.translate.TranslateElement.InlineLayout.HORIZONTAL, multilanguagePage: true}, 'google_translate_element');
}

</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="https://translate.google.com/translate_a/element.js?cb=googleTranslateElementInit"></script>

  • Choose to show the widget in tickets and contacts page
  • Click save to enable the integration
