It would be good if on the live chat there was an option for the customer to email themselves a transcript of the live chat (e.g. like Amazon support or Ladesk helpdesk solution)

You can now send a copy of the chat transcripts via email using this app - https://www.freshworks.com/apps/freshchat/email_transcript/. Agents can choose to send a copy to the customers or even send it to themselves. Please try it out and let us know if you have any feedback.
