It is a multi-line text field and by definition, it doesn't have a fixed character limit. However, as per the RFC standard, if a single line in the description(or the email) has more than 8k characters (which is unlikely unless it's scripted), it'll be skipped for ticket creation.

how can I override the 2000 character limit on the Description box of a new ticket? Most of our clients use the description box to write down the tasks needed for their project.
