When agents are spread out across different regions or when different teams take care of different languages, using article statuses helps ensure that your content is up to date in all languages.

Manage translated articles using article status

 


For example, if you have made some important changes to the content in the primary language that needs to be reflected in the other language support articles, the best practice is to click on Mark other translations as outdated. This will directly change the status of all the other translated articles as outdated and it will show up with a red Outdated status under the Languages section of the article you are working on.



In case one of your agents has made the necessary changes to one of the translated articles (say French), they can mark the solution article as updated by clicking on Mark this translation as up-to-date


Note: By doing so, only the status of that particular article is changed while the rest of the translated articles continue to have their assigned status. 


Quick guide to access all outdated articles in a specific language

  • In-order to view all the articles that are marked as outdated for a specific language, you can choose the required language from the Global language selector drop-down and access the Hamburger menu.



  • From the list of views that are displayed, you can choose the Outdated view and start working on the articles that are displayed under that list view.




  • Likewise, you can also choose the Untranslated articles view and start working on the articles that are displayed under that list view.
